I would be happy to give you an honest and RESPECTED review!

My Warrior Forum ID is: J.Agnew.JD

My plan for this year is to get more into the “auto-pilot” websites that produce passive income. And with Google’s changes this year, the use of Authority Sites appears to be mandatory. So I am “very hungry” for correct and actionable information about this area of internet marketing. With your reputation and excellent past products, your new WSO will be an excellent match for my goals!

Than You for the opportunity to receive a review copy!

    Hi Gavin+Jake,

thanks for giving me the opportunity to give you my opinion.

Tell us how to improve rankings of new authority sites with social media backlinks without risking to have your site penalised from Google.
BTW could you also explain an old SEO myth that says that changing you site’s theme may affect your ranking?

Finally YES I would love a review copy of your next WSO in fact I would also love to promote it as an affiliate as I already know you will dish out a top report with great information

    Look forward to your reply

    Hi Gavin and Hello Jake.

I would like you to talk about edu sites in particular and Gov sites, especially from the standpoint of quality backlinks that wont have a negative impact and might be welcomed by the admins of such sites. Nothing like setting your bar nice and high I know, but I thought I may as well:-)

    Hi guys,

Is it possible for a one man operation to build an authority site, that is actually vied as authority by the big G?

P.S. I’m happy to provide a video review if I win!

    Hey Dudes!

This is something I have been seriously thinking is going to be the future of SEO, as I think big G has been implementing as much as they can to keep folks from being able to just shoot a small sniper site to the top of the serps. So… I think you guys are right on top of it well done! My main question to you would be, what are your thoughts on sites that cover a wide range of stuff, as opposed to being more oriented to having authority on basically a single topic or niche? In other words could you build an authority site on a multitude of stuff, or do you feel the seo results will always be better by being more focused on a particular niche.

    Thanks

    Hi, Gavin and Jake

That’s a great idea, I love to see someone fostering authority sites, rather than thin affiliate or sniper type sites.

I also love authority sites (mainly because they turn out to be more profitable for me), but I’d like to know more about a good backlinking strategy for such sites.

In most of the SEO / backlinking courses, people talk about things like speed velocity, different strategies to get backlinks (blog networks, article marketing, social profiles, etc), but they seem to assume that all backlinks will point to the homepage, i.e., they seem to be teaching a strategy to create backlinks like the site was made of a single page.

Given authority sites tend to be quite big, with a larger number of pages and posts than thin affiliate sits, what is the best backlinking strategy considering the site as a whole?

    That is:

    - Internal backlinking: what is the structure you recommend? a silo structure? or promoting certain pages or posts sitewide? An “everything counts” approach, with plugins like “random posts”, or these plugins that dinamically create internal links to any other post or page?

    - External backlinking: how should we split our efforts among the homepage / category pages / specific posts and pages? To which ones should we create backlinks first? To which ones should we create the most backlinks?

I hope I made myself clear enough, and I’ll love to see your product when it’s done.

    Mikel

Would you please give us 5 to 7 ideas on how to transform a well ranked e-commerce website –selling personal care products– into a linkable asset, and get link bait without a forum and apart from the formula of Trophy Pigeon

Can you tell me how to construct an authority site (I own health-n-beauty.co.uk which is planned to be a broad niche affiliate site) and what the optimum amount and type of content that needs to be produced?

    Regards,

I have an authority site and would like to add a classifieds section to it. For SEO purposes, would it be better to add the classifieds portion of the site to a subdomain or subdirectory? classifieds.domain.com or domain.com/classifieds? I was thinking to make a keyword rich subdomain. Does that help better with SEO? Advantages and Disadvantages, please.

    Thanks

As WordPress is the new platform for internet savvy marketers how long will it take Google to spot the growing trend of authority sites within niches being created by internet marketers?

And will they respond to the new breed of affiliate sites in the same manner as they did with spammy sites (often associated with poor quality autoblogs) and associated link wheels during the panda update? The ‘linkwheel’ and associated backlinking methods may have evolved but the principles are still the same.

And finally, assuming you are ensuring a good variety of backlinks (including contexual backlinks) both to the homepage & inner pages and quality content, are there any particular types of backlinks you feel that we (or VAs) should avoid in order to ensure an authority site will remain so in google’s eyes.

For example, once your site is recognised and ranked by Google, the use of automated tools to post large volumes of poor quality comments just to gain backlinks, which are often subsequently removed, on forums, blogs, social media sites, pligg sites etc. Btw i’m assuming proxies are being used for these tasks. Are these really a good idea?

Btw I think you should provide a section on the creation of ‘EMD’ on medium to high PR web 2.0 sites as well as the option of integrating EDU, GOV and occasionally ORG sites wherever possible. And probably a section detailing how to search and find other authority sites within your chosen niche or an associated one, whether it’s done using software or the old fashioned way using Google.

It’s nice to see a refreshing approach in your videos. Much better than ‘robots’ showing you how to do something in a video. At least you guys can have a laugh during them. You gotta enjoy life :-)

Good luck with your new product guys!

    Cheers,

    Martin

    Okay
    1. Do just adding any authority site hyper links benefit a blog or website?
    2. What kind of research is required to select the best ones for my niches?
    3. If in my research I find some that are relevant are they all equal in benefit?
    4. If not why?
    5. Where is the best place to put them in my content. Does it matter if they are in the second or final paragraphs?

    Hi guys,
    1) What important differences should one consider when building authority sites which promote physical products vs authority sites which promote digital products ?
    2) Do (drip-fed) content providers such as autoblogging tools, article submitter tools or even video posting tools (such as Video Niche Site) installed on a blog and linked to your main site really help to rank or maintain rankings ?
    3) Are exact match domains really relevant for authority sites ?
    Many thanks,
    Michael

    I would like to know:

    1. Do you need original content?

    2. How do you get traffic to it?

    3. Are pictures and video a must?

    4. How many pages should it have?

    5. How many affiliate links should it have?

    6. Should you have adsense on it straight away?

    Hope that helps

    My question:
What is the best way to structure an authority site to rank high for a competitive keyword. Where do you have the main keyword and secondary keywords (also how many and how do you select them) in terms of pages, categories and posts. What type of interlinking structure would you use and what keyword density do you recommend for each type of page/post.
I’d have some more questions but I think that is the most important for me.
    Thank you..

    Hi,
very timely, developing larger sites is part of our plan this year.
So, few questions off the top of my head -
Do you think that Google will ever view a site as “authority” if it is obviously monetized?
Is there room in each niche for more than one “authority”?
What factors do you think we should bear in mind when building authority sites, size, content, keyword strategy, linking structure?
Are there things that might make G dismiss our site as just another affiliate site no matter how large we build it?
Conversely are there certain things we should do to ensure the site is viewed as worthy of a place in the search results?

Assuming that one of the factors that G is looking for on an “authority site” is interaction, what’s the best way to encourage it?
Does it have to be the whole social media circus, or is it enough to have plenty of comments, maybe a forum, on the site?

S’all I can think of for now, c ya later! :-D

Site structure, how best to allow for future growth without having to move the site to another CMS or anything like that?
Is WordPress still a suitable base for a site you intend to become massive?

Do you think it’s necessary to be a genuine expert in the niche, or is it enough to have an interest and encourage experts to post?
Can an ecommerce/review/affiliate site ever be considered an authority site?

Why do authority sites gain so much love from Google?

Is it crucial to build credibility over a period time or can it be done safely rather quickly?

I’ve got one website which is about health. I know I can create an authority site by creating web pages about everything to do with health – dementia, acne, diabetes and so on. This would be a massive undertaking. (and quite frankly I would become either bored or obsessed by it and I don’t want to become obsessed).

Alternatively I could create a site on acne and become an authority on that one subject: causes, treatment, scars, face, back etc

So, my question is would Google view my Acne site as an authority site or should I broaden it out to the whole Health topic?

    Thanks
    Joe
