I’d like to know what you guys think i think is the most effective link building for the price/time involved. Blog comments, press release, contextual, etc.

Obviously diversity is key, but when you guys try to rank sites what is the type of link that you like to focus on most?

Also, is there a certain type of software or service that gets this task completed effectively and afford-ably enough to strike enough profit to make it worth the time and money?

Lastly, do you guys have a certain speed that you implement these backlinks and/or certain time periods in which you believe specific types of links are most effective?

    Thanks,
    Blake

How to know if back-linking outsourcers are providing relevant links using only “white hat” without going through them all.

I would like to know which is the definitive tool for finding the TRUE results of your keywords in the serps. It always seems to show different results, and even different tools show different results. I have been using seo tools rank checker for a while but I think results are often wrong – also used raven and now started using seo moz

which one shows the most accurate results for local (google.com.au) and US (google.com) serps

It is a bit silly saying to clients I have the #1 spot in google.com or google.com.au if I am NOT actually in the # 1 spot according to a different tool

    big dillemma for me

    appreciate your help

    thanks

    Phil

  6. If you own more than one blog, is it good or bad to have them on the same server? I own three blogs but they are all at the same server.. I happen to also have a ecommerce website, so its a problem having them on the same server?
When you use a keyword rich title in your blog posts, does it matter if you have a plugin that removes words such as the, a, at etc.. Does that hurt your SEO work or better it for the search engines?
    Thanks for the email!

Do blog comments actually work for SEO at all? I get so many mixed reviews on this subject. Blog commenting seems an easier method of course, however, I always hear these types of links are useless.

P.S. Are there any good blog network content sites that don’t charge a fee or is this a ridiculous question?

    Hi,

    Ok, questions…

Is there any value to buying a bunch of blog comment (or profile) links once? Or is that something that only has value if done steadily, over time, with much less “burst?”

What is the value of article posting services such as SEOlinkVine? Does it matter if an effort is made to make the spun articles decent? Or is it something with no value these days?

WSOs and other services sell packages/products that automate (spam) the social bookmarking thing. What are the best practices for SBing? How woild those best practices be different for a new site and and old one with a couple hundred pages?

Guess that’s enough for now. :)

    Thanks

Is it worth more to get backlinks from sites that are relevant to your keywords and the topic of your site? I’ve heard yes and no. I know Google has some pretty sophisticated algorithms but there seems to be a lot of room for error if an assessment of relevance is done by an algorithm.

As someone who knows little about SEO…here’s something I feel would be beneficial above all else.

A complete and throrough LIES AND MYTHS ABOUT SEO.

The fatal “heresay” tactics getting companies sandboxed.

    Second Wish:

A beginner’s to advanced “Definitely use” SEO marketing techniques and tactics.

Rate them by ease to implement and cost to imply. Also rate level of effectiveness if used as directed (not possible but estimates are good)

The reason I’m requesting ratings is there are lots of strategies out there but no one gives a price, amount of skill and time required which would prevent new comers to over spend.

Proper marketing is more than just about knowing a method. It requires budgeting of time, money and resources to implement…or you could shoot yourself in the foot.

OK…that’s all I’ve got for now. Thank you Gavin and Jake for all the hard work you put into sharing you’re knowledge of SEO and marketing.

How do you think Mobile websites will impact SEO as I believe they do not require the same level of back links etc.

By the way I am not experienced at SEO

How important is backlink diversity and velocity.

I’ve been reading all over that a ‘someone” gets his site ranked (I assume after some backlinking) and leave it and it reatains its ranking.

I this possible to create a site, do proper on-site and off-site SEO and just leave it and it’ll continue to bring in revenue?

  20. 1. Has the ‘selling SEO information/services to SEOs’ space become bigger than the industry itself?

    2. Do you think the amount of noise and mis-information in the SEO industry will ultimately do more harm than good?

  21. Hi, I am most interested in learning EXACTLY how to purchase aged domains that have some PR juice still left, and then using a 301 redirect. I have read much about this, but no one has actually SHOWN how to do the 30 redirect properly without messing something up or losing the pr juice in the process.

I am starting to do some offline work creating websites for local businesses. For SEO purposes with a specific country is there any additional benefit of using the relevant country domain extension (ie .au for Australia, .uk , .de etc).

I understand the benefits of a .com for marketing broadly on the internet but not sure of the implications or benefits of using the local extension.

My question pertains to rankings and google locations.

I have a client that I got to the #1 position for the keyword “web design st louis”. I live in Knoxville so my default google location is set for there – and he is #1. He lives in St. Louis and his google location is for there but when he searches for “web design st louis”, he is at position #4. If you change the google location to anywhere else in the US, he is #1.

How can I get him to the #1 position for the St. Louis google location searchers?

With Google Panda I know that original content is a must, but is H1, H2, and H3 still relevant to use in regards to keywords.

Firstly, thanks a lot for all the info you guys have been sharing with all, great stuff!
I would like to see a kind of a day by day, hour by hour points list schedule of what a proper SEO campaign should be in order to achieve a # 1 spot in a realistic time frame.

    Thanks Again!

Is it worth bothering with lots of ‘spun’ content for article distribution? There is lots of software out there that does this. But can’t Google recognize this? If a computer spins it can’t a computer un-spin it? Or am I just paranoid?

    Hello Gavin and Jake,

    Here are my questions.

Are local SEO factors, keywords etc., more important than content and
    backlinks for ranking?

Are there any gaps or differences between the major search engine
algorithms that might give different results for standard queries and
    thus require different site SEO?

Is googles m.google.com search engine using different criteria for
    determining ranking?

If mobile is the future, what would a good long term SEO strategy
    for mobile ranking consist of?

What is Social SEO and what are the best practices for keeping it all
    on track?
For that matter, how do you keep all this organized and productive?

    Thanks

What is better for ranking, strong content based pages or seo optimized posts on a blog?
Another question I have is that I just installed CommentLuv Premium on
http://easyaffiliate marketing.us among my other blogs. The question I have in hindsight is whether I would be making Google mad by slowly walking into a blog network/community. People always speak on the benefits of getting involved blog networks, however is there a downside to them aside from the monthly extortion rates, errr, prices I should say?

When you have a main keyword which is plural (chicago dentists), do you treat the singular version (chicago dentist) as a separate keyword or do you consider it part of the main keyword?

P.S. As a purchaser of SEO Training Alliance Elite, will I be hearing soon from you about Tactical Backlink Advantage 2.0? I was tempted by your WF WSO but spotted your note in the FAQ section.

  35. If a niche is high ticket one off purchase by a senior citizen what can you use to replace social signals as the whole build a relationship with your customer in advance isn’t really relevant. When they need it they buy it. they won’t want info on it until they are ready.
    Thoughts, suggestions.

Hi, what are the dangers of using shared hosting? We spread our sites over multiple hosting accounts in case of problems with any one site, but what about the thousands of other sites hosted on the same server?
If one of them belongs to a blackhatter how do we avoid being tarred with same brush?

A similar point is the conflicting advice over how much you should invite G in.
Some say to use both analytics and webmaster tools, but then all your sites are lumped together, so if one is penalised will they all be?
What would you say is the best way around this?

Google loves the social media, so I’m told, and we should make our websites as socially interactive as possible. That means, for one thing, allowing reader comments on all our posts, right? But every time I do that, I get as many as a hundred or more spam comments every day that I have to take the time to clear out. It is a royal pain. So what is the solution???
